Stitch Types

Each tool in the toolbar creates a different type of object. The type determines which sections appear in Properties and how the stitch is generated.

Stitch / run

Outlines, fine details, and lines.

Columns A/B/C

Satin for letters, borders, and narrow shapes.

Complex Fill

Large surfaces with holes.

Lettering

Editable text with embroidery fonts.

Basic shapes

Rectangles, circles, and stars.

Stitch / run

Runs along an open path with points separated by a fixed length. It is used for outlines, fine details, reference lines, and tie-offs.

In the context bar or in Run settings you can choose the mode:

IconModeBehavior
ManualEach drawn node is a needle penetration.
Single runOne pass along the path.
Double runBack and forth, with 2–6 passes.
Bean stitchCycles of forward, back, and forward to reinforce the line.

The main parameters are Stitch length, Min length, and Max length; in Manual mode they are replaced by Max segment, and in double run and bean, Passes, Return, and Repeats appear. See Running Line.

Columns A, B, and C

Columns generate satin stitches and are suitable for letters, borders, and narrow shapes. They differ in how the rails are drawn:

IconToolHow it is drawn
Column AAlternating nodes on the right and left; each pair defines a rib.
Column BTwo independent edges that define the width of the band.
Column CA centerline and an editable width at each end.

The common parameters are Spacing (satin density), Max stitch, Width, and Compensation. Column C adds Start width, End width, and Offset. See Columns A, B, C.

Complex Fill

Covers surfaces bounded by a closed contour and allows you to add holes that are not filled. The stitch angle is defined by dragging the control over the object.

ParameterDescription
PatternTatami, Cross fill, Contour fill, or Satin.
Row spacingDistance between passes; controls density.
Stitch lengthTarget length within each row.
AngleDirection of the fill passes.
BackstitchStandard, borderline, or diagonal perimeter finish.
UnderlayStabilization layer beneath the fill.

The same settings apply to Fill Polygon objects created with rectangles, circles, and stars, which do not support holes. See Complex Fill and Fill Polygon.

Text / Lettering

Places text and edits it in Properties. AnyTa uses prepared embroidery fonts to generate the lettering stitches. You can adjust Height, Size, Width, Letter spacing, Kerning, Baseline (straight, arch, or circle), and Alignment, in addition to satin density.

See Lettering.

Basic shapes

The rectangles, circles, and stars create fill objects. You can then change the pattern, angle, and density in Properties, or convert them into a column by choosing Satin as the pattern.

The right density depends on the fabric. On stretch fabrics, reduce the density and add stabilizing interfacing.
